Picture Retake Day for Middle School Students

If your middle school student was not thrilled with his or her school picture, a second chance has arrived for that perfect photo. Picture retake day is Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the auditorium from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Government Meetings This Week

Town committees and boards are busy at work this week. The current meetings scheduled are: 

Board of Trustees, Dec. 9 at 9 a.m., 

Master Plan Implementation Committee, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.

Concussion Study Committee, Dec. 11.

This is the Final Yard Waste Collection for B Week

This week is the last chance to easily dispose of leaf and yard waste for B Week. Biodegradable bags or open barrels must be put out by 7 a.m., on the scheduled recycling day. Branches and small brush must be less than 1 inch in diameter and cut into 4 foot lengths, bundled and tied. Yard waste cannot be mixed with household trash.

 

Scholarship Opportunity Deadline Approaching for Dedham Seniors

Senior students whose parents belong to an AFL/CIO union are eligible to apply for the Massachusetts AFL/CIO Scholarship.  As part of the process, students need to take a "labor history exam" that is scheduled at DHS for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.  If you want to take the exam, interested students must register on or before Dec. 12, 2013 with Mrs. Goyette.


Christmas Tree Cookie Decorating at Panera Bread

Panera Bread, Dedham, is taking the labor out of Christmas tree cookie decorating. On Friday, Dec. 13, attend the festive party and decorate a beautiful ornament for the family tree. The event is FREE, just purchase a Panera short bread cookie to join in the fun!

Celebrate the season with a Christmas Tree cookie decorating party at select Panera Bread bakery-cafes. Decorate a freshly-baked Christmas Tree cookie with your family or friends. Just purchase a Panera short bread cookie to join in the fun. 

Plus, from Dec. 1-15, participating Boston-area Panera Bread bakery-cafes will donate 10¢ for every Christmas Tree Cookie sold to Boston Children’s Hospital.
