Family hosts nearly 100 young kids for 38th year to kick-off holiday season in Dedham.

For the 38th year, young kids lined up Sunday afternoon to be some of the first to tell Santa what they want for Christmas and promise that they'll "eat their vegetables" and "clean their room."

In what's become a welcomed holiday tradition on Garfield Road in Dedham, Rita Mae Cushman's family filled their yard with hundreds of lights and countless of decorations for Christmas.

Children lined up Sunday to meet with Santa and walk through the back yard of the Cushman house.
