HESSCO to Participate in March for Meals Event

In March, HESSCO Elder Services will participate in March for Meals in support of Meals on Wheels programs across the country.

HESSCO will have elected officials - including Rep. Paul McMurtry - deliver meals, participate in the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce's Flavors Gala and other activities throughout the area.

“During these touch economic times, the food and human contact we provide to seniors is needed more than ever,” said Mary Raczka, HESSCO’s director of communications. “Last year, HESSCO provided 139,078 meals to 2,128 frail elders living in south Norfolk County. We need the community to come out and support our March for Meals events. Our elders are counting on us. We can’t let them down.”

March for Meals is a nation-wide effort to bring attention to senior hunger in the United States. It is sponsored by the Meals on Wheels Association of America.
