NVSRC uses the rest of the money to help fund their charitable endeavors for the next year. Rubini expects NVSRC to bring in $10,000.

"Whatever money we take in from this event, in the next year, that is the money we give out," she said.

Money has gone to fund scholarship programs, buying dictionaries for a local classroom, the Dedham Food Pantry and several other organizations, Rubini said.

"It is set up to be a day of fun for the whole family," Rubini said. "All the money we raise goes back to helping people in need in the communities."
