"Going Places" at The Blue Bunny this Saturday

Twins Peter and Paul Reynolds have collaborated on a lifetime of projects and endeavors together, but this Saturday, March 15th, they celebrate their first collaboration on a children's picture book. Going Places, published by Atheneum's Books for Young Readers, officially releases to the public on Tuesday the 18th, but the publisher okayed the party this weekend to get the buzz rolling on this highly-anticipated book.

Already receiving great reviews from some of the benchmark industry publications, Going Places celebrates creativity and collaboration.  It both literally and figuratively encourages children to "think outside the box" -- using imagination, resilience and grit to reach the finish line. With appeal for both the educational and consumer markets, Going Places will make a great gift for any child (or adult) in your life who might need encouragement to stretch their imagination & creative problem-solving skills to navigate the journey ahead.

Some praise for GOING PLACES . . .

". . . an encouraging vision of the "maker" child who prefers crafting things herself to watching them on a screen."    --  Publishers Weekly

“. . . this satisfying picture book inspires can-do attitude combining imagination, invention, and engineering.” -- ALA Booklist Booklist

“. . . captures the discovery of new ideas, teamwork, and the joys of creating. A fun story that will get kids thinking (maybe even outside the box)."   -- School Library Journal

". . . an ode to creativity and individuality." -- Kirkus Reviews

Peter and Paul will both be at The Blue Bunny Bookstore, in Dedham Square, from 11 a.m til 1 p.m. this Saturday, March 15th, signing & personalizing first edition copies of the book. All are welcome to join us for the signing and refreshments (including birthday cake - it is Peter and Paul's birthday on the 16th!)  For more details or to order a signed copy of the book, call the store at 781-493-6568.
