New Look to Dedham High Football Schedule

The Dedham High football team will be playing rival Norwood twice in the upcoming football season, and that's not the only change they will experience this.
Under the new Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's new football playoff format, Dedham will be in Division 4 South with Apponequet, Bishop Stang, Canton, Coyle-Cassidy, Dennis-Yarmouth, Foxborough, Hanover, Holliston, Medway, Middleboro, Norton, Randolph, Scituate, Wareham and Westwood for a playoff spot.
Dedham will play seven games before the new playoffs, designed to crown a state champion, will start in the first week of November. If they don't make the playofffs, they will have opponents scheduled for them;
Before the playoff start, Dedham will be at Norwood on Oct. 26 for a 1 p.m. game. Then on Thanksgiving Day, they will host the Mustangs in a 10 a.m.
Dedham will open up the season at home against Medfield in a 7 p.m. game on Sept. 12, followed by a trip to North Quincy Sept. 20 for a 7 p.m.
After that, Dedham will move in the Bay State League part of the schedule, hosting Walpole at 7 p.m., traveling to Milton, Oct. 4 for a 7 p.m., at Natick, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. and Wellesley at home Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. before the games against Norwood.
