Photos: Avery School Students Parade in Costumes

Students at each Dedham elementary school participated in a Halloween parade on Thursday.

At the Avery School, first and second grade students paraded around the Dedham school in their costumes while the upperclassmen cheered for them.

Avery Principal Claire Sullivan said the parade is held every year for the students along with a pumpkin decorating contest and a variety of school - related Halloween activities.

"It's the biggest holiday for children," Sullivan said. "They get so excited."
