Hundreds of elementary school students participated in international Safe Routes to School Day on Wednesday morning.
Oakdale Elementary School students jumpstarted their schoolday on Wednesday with a lap around the backfield at the school and a few morning excercises as part of the international Safe Routes to School Day.
The federal-funded program promotes pedestrian safety and an active lifestyle.
