Oakdale Elementary School Holds Holiday Concert

Students performed two shows for near-capacity crowds.

After months of hard work and practice, music teacher Bryan Bigelow had his 300-plus students in grades 1-5 ready to perform two scheduled shows recently at the school.

Following a performance by the fifth grade band and the school's string orchestra, the students of each class took to the stage and sang a variety of holiday songs with an array of international flavor. Both of the one hour shows were performed to near-capacity crowds that included parents, relatives, neighbors and various town officials.

Dedham Town Administrator William Keegan was quite impressed and congratulated the students on a job well done. Principal Holli Armstrong oversaw the event and kept things running smoothly. Holli Armstrong agreed that under the direction of Bryan Bigelow, the show just gets better every year.
