Dedham Home Sales Down in March, Up Statewide

New data from the Warren Group shows that home sales in Dedham decreased last month.

Dedham saw its home sales decrease in March, according to data released by real estate information firm The Warren Group, 

According to the report, there was a decrease in March sales in Dedham from 16 in 2012 to 14 in 2013. Year to date sales are also down from 42 in 2012 to 34 in 2013.

While sales were down, the median home price went up from $335,000 in March 2012 to $347,500 in March 2013. The year to date median price went down from $324,000 in 2012 to $322,500 in 2013.

In Massachusetts, 3,214 homes sold in March 2013, slightly down over last year's 3,100 sales.

The median sale price in the state however, was went up 8.37% from $263,000 in March 2012 to $282,500 in March 2013
