Town officials are drafting a job description as they work to hire a central facilities manager that will oversee both town and school buildings in Dedham.

The new employee is set to make around $100,000 a year, plus have use of the school-owned truck.

At a Board of Selectmen meeting last week, Michael LaFrancesca, assistant to the school superintendent for business affairs, said even if the employee lives outside of Dedham, he or she would take the truck home because calls could come in at any time, LaFrancesca said.
