The Massachusetts Department of Transportation plans to resume work on Tuesday to repair the bridge deck that carries River Street over the railroad into Hyde Park.
Work will run between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and require closure of the bridge during that time period. The bridge will be reopened for vehicular traffic by 5 a.m. each morning; the bridge will be open for pedestrians at all times.
MassDOT also plans to install electronic message boards to alert area residents and businesses of the resumption of the project.
As part of the project, SPS New England will replace portions of the existing bridge deck and critical support beams during the overnight hours.
For questions regarding the work, contact MassDOT District 6 at 857-368-6300 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays or contact the Highway Operations Center at 617-946-3150.
The detour plan uses Hyde Park Avenue/Summer Street to West Street and/or Reservation Road.
