Letter: State Sen. Mike Rush Favors Casinos in Boston

Rush's Chief of Staff submitted letter to Senate President Murray on behalf of Rush, who is deployed in Iraq.

State Sen. Mike Rush's supports having casino gambling in Massachusetts and Boston.

Rush's Chief of Staff John Regan submitted a letter on Sept. 26 (see attached letter) to Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray and to Senate Ways and Means Chairman Stephen Brewer outlining the amendments that Rush's office feel would be assets to Senate Bill 2015.

The letter says Rush feels there has been a "long and deliberative process" that came to the formation of the currently being discussed Senate bill to bring casino gambling to Massachusetts.

Rush supports Amendment #119 that would create a zoning change only for the proposed gaming site in Boston, and not the rest of the city, which laws do not allow to have casinos at this time.
