Tree Removal Hearing

TREE REMOVAL HEARING

In Accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87 section 3; Public Shade Trees, The Department of Public Works will hold a public hearing on July 14, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Francis W. O'Brien meeting room in Dedham Town Hall in regards to the tree removal and replanting of trees on Ardmore Rd., Bonham Rd., Hillsdale Rd., and Holmes Rd.    

These Sycamore trees have been deemed Hazardous due to the following:

·         The location of these trees between the sidewalk and the road are heaving the sidewalks and the road.

·         The tree roots are making sidewalks impassable and creating poor drainage flow.

We will replant this area with Sugar Maple, Red Maple, Locust, Pear, Japanese Tree Lilac, and Linden Trees as these trees can withstand the harsh conditions along the road that they will encounter.
