Dedham Square Project Update, Changes: Ornamental Light Poles Instead of Fan-Style
The contractor is continuing work on punch-list items from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Dedham Square Improvement Project is winding down as the contractor is continuing to work on punch-list items this week from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Project punch-list items are miscellaneous tasks that need to be repaired and/or replaced. Things such as signage corrections, removal and installation of etched granite parking space numbers, replacement of bricks within the sidewalks and crosswalks, replanting or replacement of trees and plantings.
Several on-street parking spaces may be unavailable while work is taking place, and 'no parking' signs will be in those spots to let drivers know they can't park there.

The town of Dedham has also approved the following change orders to the project, according to the Dedham Square Improvement Project newsletter.

Replacement of the proposed Keystone Parking Lot “Fan-Style” Light Poles and Fixtures with the Ornamental Light Poles & Fixtures to be used throughout the square for street lighting. The cost associated with this change order is $72,000.

Extend the reconstruction limits of the Keystone Parking Lot retaining wall approximately 25 feet to meet the portion of the retaining wall reconstructed by MassDOT during the Route 1 Bridge Project. The cost associated with this change order is $64,838.
Furnishing and installation of a 30-foot utility pole in the rear of the Keystone Parking Lot. The cost associated with this change order is $4,032.
