Dedham Square Circle Grand Re-Opening Weekend Events Galore!

This coming weekend Dedham Square Circle is organizing a weekend long celebration to mark the end of the Dedham Square Improvement Project. The celebration will have dancing, cake, live music - and this weekend's Dedham's Open Studios!

Merchants throughout the Square have special offers, events and promotions and restaurants will have special drink and menu items.

Friday, Oct. 4:

• Fred Astaire Dance Studio – Open House 8-10:30 pm. There will be an Introductory Class to teach the basics of some of our popular dances, followed by a Pro Show, social dancing, refreshments, hors d'oeuvres and Giveaways. Free and open to all. No partner is necessary, just show up and be ready for a fun night.
• Paradise Café will have live music featuring Dan Masterson from 8:30-10:30 p.m. No cover charge.

Saturday, Oct. 5:

• Blue Bunny 10th Birthday Celebration. Birthday cake cutting at 11 a.m.  and lots of prizes and surprises during the day.
• Dedham Square Circle is giving away free ice cream cones to the first 200 people at Ron’s Ice Cream starting at 2 p.m. There will be a balloon artist to entertain you while you wait in line.         
• Paradise Café will have live music featuring Terry Kitchen with Becky and the Hitmen from 8-10 p.m. No cover charge.
• Preview Day for Dedham Open Studios.  Browse work from local artists which will be for sale on Sunday, Oct. 6.
• Yoga Now will host an open house with free mini-sessions beginning at 1 p.m. and going every half hour until 4 p.m. Drop in for all levels and types of yoga. Visit www.yoga-now.com

Sunday, Oct. 6:

• Dedham Open Studios with more than 85 local artists showcasing their original work throughout the Square and beyond. 
• Enjoy live music and dance performances on the street in front of the Dedham Community Theatre from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sponsored by Dedham Square Circle.
• At 2 p.m. there will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting for the “New and Improved” Dedham Square. All are invited to participate in this historic occasion.  

Promotions throughout weekend:

The Dedham Community Theatre will have a free raffle for a VIP Book which includes six movie passes and one popcorn valued at over $60. Stop by to enter between 10/4-10/6.

The Dedham Exchange is also hosting a free raffle for a gourmet food basket filled with local honey, handmade caramels, Dedham's own “Our Favorite Salad Dressing”, jams, pasta,Dedham note cards and more. Stop by to enter on Saturday and Sunday.
