Coalition for Drug, Alcohol Awareness to Meet with 'Learn to Cope' Officials

Representatives from the Norfolk County District Attorney's office will be present.

The Dedham Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Awareness will meet on Tuesday night with representatives will be present from "Learn to Cope," a support group for parents and family members dealing with loved ones addicted to heroin, Oxycontin or other drugs. 

The Coalition was formed by the Board of Selectmen in January. Dedham has joined several other communities to create such a coalition in an effort to reduce drug and alcohol abuse through education and assistance programs. 

Representatives from Weymouth's coalition and the Norfolk County District Attorney's office will also attend the meeting, as well.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 in the lower conference room of Dedham Town Hall. Residents who want to find out more about starting a support group in Dedham are welcome to attend.
