UPDATED: Business as Usual for Dedham Stores During Hurricane Sandy

Despite the forecast, many businesses are going to try to stay open during the storm.

Despite the wind and the rain, many stores feel that there is no reason to close.  In fact, many stores will have normal business hours during the storm.  And stores like Whole Foods are not fearing the worst.

"We actually don't plan to lose power at all, we have a fuel generator on-site.  So even if Legacy Place loses power, that wouldn't affect us.  But we do have full plans to stay open tonight till 10 p.m." Whole Foods' Marketing Leader, Kyle Marnane said.

Other retail stores like CVS Pharmacy will also be open during normal business hours, along with other supermarkets and pharmacies in the area.

For small businesses like Mocha Java, they may close early just in case the weather conditions get worse.

But the Post Office was surprised to see people asking about hours of operation.

"Of course we are [open]! Regular business hours and regular delivery," a postal worker said.

So in the meantime, as long as there are no power outages, it looks like most-if not all of the stores in Dedham will be open for business.
