Weekend Police Log: Purse Stolen From Vehicle in Dedham
The following excerpts are from the Dedham Police log from last weekend, Oct. 25-27. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Oct. 25:
At 12:39 p.m. a caller at Best Buy reported her vehicle passenger window was smashed and her purse was stolen. An officer noted that the vehicle had pry marks along the pillar, which had caused the window to shatter. Once the window was broken, the suspect reached inside the vehicle and stole a purse containing the victim’s license and a few credit cards.
At 3:32 p.m. a hypodermic needle was found in back of a building on Washington Street.

At 4:38 p.m. a shooting was reported on the Boston/Dedham Line. SEE STORY.
At 6:58 p.m. a store on Providence Highway reported a shoplifting.

At 8:29 p.m. a caller reported someone threw a rock at her vehicle near the Oakdale School.
Saturday, Oct. 26:
At 5:00 p.m. a caller on Oakdale Street reported his house window was open and the screen was raised and one of his venetian blinds was missing.
At 6:16 p.m. a caller on College Place reported someone just opened her screen and front door and then slammed it.
Sunday, Oct. 27:
At 3:33 p.m. a caller reported someone put holes in her pool cover and liner on Vincent Road.
At 9 p.m. a caller on River Street reported someone entered her home while she was away.
