Massachusetts State Police have arrested two Boston men in connection to a Friday shooting on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury.

State troopers Friday night arrested Marcel Reed, 20, of Roslindale and Andrew Renna, 21, of Mattapan. Both men were charged with assault with intent to murder and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.  State Police told the Boston Globe that the suspects knew the victim.

According to a statement from the Massachusetts State Police, the victim, a 32 year old female from Dedham, was driving her car northbound on the VFW Parkway at around 4:45 p.m. when another vehicle shot at her car several times.

The victim drove herself to the Dedham Police Department, and she was then transported to Beth Israel Hospital, state police said.

Police had no information about her current condition.

Dedham Police Chief Michael d'Entremont said EMS found the 32 year old female in the vehicle to be suffering from non-life threatening injuries. Her vehicle showed signs of being struck by gun fire, d'Entremont said in a statement.

State police said Reed and Renna were brought to the Milton State Police Barracks and are being held without bail.

State Police Troop H is investigating the incident with assistance from the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, the State Police crime scene unit and the state police ballistics unit, the announcement said.
