State Police, DA's Office Seeking 2 in Suspicious Disappearance

Two men are sought after reportedly taking a missing 37-year-old to Dedham last week.

Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County District Attorney's office are looking to identify two men allegedly involved in the disappearance of a 37-year-old man who was last seen getting into a silver Toyota Camry at around 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in Avon.

State police have released two composite sketches of two white male subjects wanted in connection with the disappearance of James J. Robertson. The two were reportedly last seen displaying law enforcement badges and wearing handguns, according to an announcement by State Police on Facebook and Twitter Friday.

Robertson's father said the men arrived at the families home in Avon claiming to be constables, carrying handguns and displaying law enforcement badges before stating they were taking his son to Dedham for surprise probation-related drug testing, according to CBS Boston. Robertson's father found the move to be suspicious and subsequently called police.
