UPDATED: Police Locate Missing Teen

Plainville girl was last seen in Dedham on Saturday, but police don't believe foul play is involved.

Updated 2:55 p.m., Friday: Jenny Kent, a Plainville teen that went missing Saturday, returned to Dedham on Thursday, police confirmed Friday.

Kent met with a juvenile officer at Dedham High School Thursday morning and returned to the station. Police reiterated that they don't believe foul play was involved.

May 10 -  are investigating a missing person case involving a Plainville teen last seen at the on Providence Highway in Dedham.

Police didn’t release the girl’s name, however independent sources say the girl is 15-year-old Jenny Kent, formerly of Dedham.

Kent’s foster mother reported her missing to Dedham Police on Saturday after the teen failed to rendezvous with her at Starbucks, police said.

According to a police report, Kent got into a car with multiple “young men” and headed to the Brockton area.

“The original information we have is that she left willingly with people she knew,” Lt. Robert Nedder said Tuesday.

After a preliminary investigation, police don’t believe foul play was involved or that Kent was abducted, Nedder said.

Police will continue to investigate until Kent is located.
