Police: Mom Chases Son's Robbers, DPD Arrests Four

Police said three men and a teen robbed another teen in the Dedham Plaza on March 28.

 

arrested three men and a teen on March 28 for allegedly robbing and assaulting another teen in the parking lot of Dedham Plaza at around 10:45 p.m.

Officer David Chambers pulled over the suspects after seeing their car drive erratically and without headlights through Dedham Square and onto upper East Street, according to police reports. The victim's mother had followed the suspects in her car from the Plaza through the Square as well.

Tayquan Byson, 19 of Roslindale, Dequell Golson, 19 of Dorchester, Zachary Haygood, 21 of Roslindale, and an unidentified 14-year-old juvenile were all charged with unarmed robbery.

The teenage victim told police that he had $25, an iPhone and a pair of Nike sneakers stolen from him. He also told officers that Golson punched him in the face during the robbery, according to police reports.

Chambers stated he witnessed someone from the suspects' car throw a box of sneakers onto the street as he was attempting to pull them over.
