Police Log: Wires, Trees Downed

An excerpt from the Dedham Police Department's March 7 police log.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

March 7 -

  • At 10:06 a.m., police were notified of a down wire in the street on Sprague Street. Police notified the to handle the incident.
  • At 3:04 p.m., a car was towed from Jefferson at Dedham Station for trespassing by order of the complex's managment.
  • At 4:09 p.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a downed tree on Highland Street. Fire crews moved the tree to the side of the street, and the Department of Public Works was called for removal.
  • At 4:49 p.m., a Cedar Street resident reported that two bicycles were taken from a driveway. Police filed a report on the incident.
  • At 6:02 p.m., employees reported that they detained three female suspects in their late teens for shoplifting. Store management told police that they will seek their own complaint against the alleged thieves.
