Police Log: Thief Broke Into Cars on Milton Street

Sunday, Dec. 4

  • At 7 p.m., police responded to Sprague Street after a car reportedly left the road and struck a utility pole.

  • At 2:26 p.m., police received a report of a car break-in on Milton Street. The owner of the vehicle said her car was locked at the time of the larceny.
  • At 2:41 p.m., police were called again to Milton Street for a report of two car break-ins. The owner of the vehicles said both cars were unlocked, and nothing was missing from either car.
  • At 9:06 p.m., police responded to TJ Maxx for the report of a shoplifter in custody. The store initially determined they'd seek their own complaint, but the woman violated a trespass order minutes after being evicted from the store. Police arrested an unidentified Roslindale woman and charged her with shoplifting and trespass.
  • At 9:35 p.m., one person was reportedly injured in the Dedham Mall parking lot. According to witnesses, a driver of a Ford Explorer slipped her foot from the brake to the gas, lurching forward and running into a Lexus SUV. A woman loading bags into the back of the Lexus told police that she was knocked to the ground and hurt her back. When police arrived, the Lexus driver was moving around and yelling at the other driver. The woman also reportedly threatened a lawsuit against the other driver. She was transported to the hospital.

Friday, Dec. 2

  • At 2:24 p.m., police responded to a four-car accident at the intersection of Lyons and West streets. No injuries were reported at the scene.
