Police Log: Man Attacks MBTA Bus, Bad Checks Passed at Legacy Place

Thursday, Dec. 8

  • At 12:22 p.m., police arrested two females for allegedly shoplifting $134 worth of clothing from 344. Cassandra Pacheco, 18 of Mattapan, and Daeza Fernandez, 18 of Boston, both face charges of shoplifting.
  • At 3:15 p.m., reported the theft of a laptop computer on Tuesday. Witnesses told police that a large group of people surrounded the computer immediately before it was stolen.
  • At 4:01 p.m., police arrested two people for allegedly buying hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise at with fradulent checks. Police charged Louis Graham, 33 of Dorchester, with two counts of larceny, two counts of uttering a false instrument and two counts of false impersonation. Police charged a female companion with Graham, Lillian Belcher. She faces the same charges. Police believe the pair bought merchandise with bad checks in late November as well as Thursday.

Friday, Dec. 9

  • At 11:14 a.m., two cars collided on West Street when one car made an illegal U-turn near the entrance to . No one was injured in the crash.

  • At 9 p.m., a woman reported a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of . Police advised her to contact her insurance company. 
  • At 11:13 p.m., a group of teens vandalized a home's Christmas display. Police found a snowman with its head broken and several plastic candy canes damaged. Witnesses saw a teen get into a car that took off.

Sunday, Dec. 11

  • At 4:54 a.m., police received a report that an unknown male threatened an MBTA bus driver and struck the bus with his Jeep as the two vehicles traveled toward Dedham on Washington Street. The bus driver told police he was attempting to make it to the police station in Dedham Square, when the driver hit is driver's side and fled northbound on Providence Highway in the southbound lane. Police were unable to identify the driver of the Jeep, but will seek charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and operating to endanger.
  • At 9:40 a.m., an employee at reported that an owner of a pick-up truck took his vehicle on Saturday without paying for service performed, or for new tires put on the truck. Police were able to contact the man, who returned to Pep Boys to pay his bill.
