Police Log: House Break-In on Prospect Street Investigated

Pothole Injury

10:19 a.m. – Dedham Police responded to Lancaster Road after receiving a report from an individual who claimed she injured her ankle in a pothole on the street.

Male Flees After Verbal Dispute

12:31 p.m. – Police responded to a verbal dispute on Providence Highway. Upon arrival, one of the male parties fled while in a white utility truck towards Panera Bread on Rte. 1 south.

Road Hazard on Eastern Avenue

1:09 p.m. – Police and the Dedham Fire Department responded to the corner of Eastern Avenue and High Street for a road hazard after a sedan broke down. The operator was waiting for AAA to tow the vehicle when police arrived. Fire crews cleaned up a small spill from the vehicle.

Ice Safety

4:42 p.m. – Police responded to Bussey Street after receiving a report from a passing motorist who expressed concern for the well being of three young boys who were on the ice across from Condon Park.

House Break on Prospect Street

5:12 p.m. – The neighbor of a Propsect Street resident called the homeowner to tell him the back door of their house was open and, according to police reports, a window on the door appeared to be broken.

Ding Dong Eggs

6:55 p.m. – A caller from Ashcroft Street reported that someone rang their doorbell before several eggs were thrown at their home. A male party reportedly left on foot towards Border Street wearing a gray hoodie.
