Police Log: Head Rest Video Screens Stolen, TV Heist at BJ's

An excerpt from the Dedham Police Department's weekend report.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in police reports.

  • At 2:22 p.m. Friday, a woman reported to that two head rests with video screens were stolen from her 2005 Dodge Caravan while it was parked at Dedham Liquors. The woman told police that she went in to buy scratch tickets and only gone for a short period of time. The woman told police that the wires for the entertainment system were cut.
  • At 3:53 p.m. Friday, a loss prevention employee at reported to police that two men stole a 22-inch television Thursday evening. Video surveillance showed two white men take the TV out of its box, put it under a jacket and left the store, according to reports. 
  • At 5:08 p.m. Saturday, 27-year-old Kenneth Kelly, of Roslindale, was arrested and cited for driving with a suspended license. Officer Richard Flint stated that he pulled over Kelly's 1999 Saab after he saw the car was revoked due to an insurance cancellation. Kelly also had a small about of marijuana in his pocket that was confiscated and destroyed, Flint reported. The passenger in the Saab, 26-year-old Alex Diaz, of West Roxbury, was arrested on a default warrant.
  • At 12:26 a.m. Sunday, Dedham Police were notified by Boston Police that a car going into Dedham might have a rifle inside. An off-duty Massachusetts State trooper spotted the vehicle at , but officers found nothing after searching the Honda Civic. Troopers said they've had a series of similar incidents recently.
