Police Log: Dog Bites Woman, Tires Slashed, 3 Arrested for Alleged Grocery Theft

An excerpt from the Dedham Police Department's April 4-6 police log.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

April 4

  • At 11:39 a.m., police responded to a Bussey Street business for a report of a threat. An employee told authorities that a male, who he had an altercation with a couple weeks ago, threatened him.
  • At 1:53 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Bridge Street with no injuries reported.
  • At 5:01 p.m., police arrested Persephone Giannarikas, 20 of Roslindale; Aikaterina Konstantindis, 25 of Roslindale; and Constantinos Giannarikas, 25 of Roslindale, on larceny over $250 charges at 
  • At 6:53 p.m., a man on Hooper Street reported to police that he was assaulted by his cousin.
  • At 8:10 p.m., a Emmett Avenue woman reported to police that her roommate stole a bracelet from her bedroom.

April 5

  • At 4:57 a.m., police attempted to located a 1980s silver truck coming from Needham that was suspected in a theft of tires and rims from a gas station in Needham. Dedham Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • At 8:31 a.m., police arrested Anthony Martignetti, 23 of Dedham, on four drug-related warrants. He was transported to court after booking.
  • At 9:14 a.m., a woman went into the police station and reported that another woman made threats to her.
  • At 9:55 a.m., police reported that two cars had tires slashed on Vincent Road.
  • At 2:45 p.m., police reported a car on Providence Highway was broken into and a $400 cell phone was stolen from the car.
  • At 3:07 p.m., a caller from AT&T on Providence Highway called police and told them someone had stolen a cell phone from the store.
  • At 4:29 p.m., a car struck a telephone pole on Oakland Street and was towed by AAA. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident and no structural damage to the pole was found.

April 6

  • At 1:16 a.m., police arrested 21-year-old Derek Kunigenas, of Dedham, for allegedly running a red light and driving with a suspended license.
  • At 12:23 p.m., a car parked on Pine Street left overnight was ordered to be towed at the owner's expense.
  • At 5:35 p.m., a caller on Bridge Street reported to police that a small black and white dog bit her. The town's canine officer was unavailable at the time of the incident.
