Police Log: Dedham Man, 20, Charged With Trying to Buy Alcohol

Friday, Dec. 16

  • At 4:53 p.m., a FedEx truck knocked down power lines on Norfolk Street. NStar responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
  • At 9:24 p.m., two people suffered injuries at the Rte. 128 MBTA train station after falling roughly 15 feet down an escalator. The two people had small cuts, and one person had a broken finger. Dedham Police responded to the scene and were met by Westwood authorities.

  • At 3:58 p.m., police responded to for a report of a shoplifter with a knife. The suspect had used the knife to open a package and steal an XBox accessory, witnesses told police. Officers detained the suspect and the store will seek a private complaint.
  • At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run accident on Wentworth Street with property damage.
  • At 8:40 p.m., police arrested James Dagdigian, 20 of Dedham, after he allegedly attempted to use an altered passport to buy alcohol at . Dagdigian faces charges of attempting to procure liquor by a minor and holding a false liquor ID card. The Legacy Place establishment did not serve Dagdigian, police said.

Sunday, Dec. 18

  • At 3:37 p.m., police fielded a request for a stolen vehicle report for a 2011 Toyota Camry.
