Police Log: Dedham Customer Walks Out on Hair Coloring Without Paying

The following excerpts are from Dedham police reports from Nov. 18 to 24.

The following are incidents that the Dedham Police Department responded to recently based upon police reports provided to Dedham Patch:  

On Nov. 18, the Chili’s restaurant on Providence Highway reported patrons paid for their meal with counterfeit bills.  The manager told police the suspects paid in all cash and left the scene before the bills were found to be suspicious.

On Nov. 19 a Dedham business reported a phone scam.  The victim told police that a Gas and Electric company called and informed her that she would need to pay her bill by Western Union or money order or her account would be shut.  SEE RELATED STORY.

On Nov. 19 Joe’s American Bar & Grill reported a man walked out without paying his $63.13 bill.

On Nov. 20, neighbors complained that a High Street resident had been leaving his beagle outside for too long in the cold.  When an officer visited his home, police said the resident showed no concern or care for the well being of the dog and did not think it was an issue to leave the dog outside for an extended period of time in the cold.  A police report was made and filed to the Dedham Animal Control officer.  Police have responded to the house before for reports of the dog barking uncontrollably.

On Nov. 23 a resident on Hill Ave reported his vehicle’s rear window was smashed by a small rock.  The vehicle was parked in the driveway when vandalized.

On Nov. 23 a customer at Cost Cutters was getting her hair colored, when she stated she was late for an unexpected situation.  The woman also said she was not happy with coloring and left suddenly without paying.  She was found by police and  was ordered to pay the business.  She will also be summonsed for her previous actions. 

On Nov. 23 a caller reported road rage inside the Legacy Place parking garage.  The woman said the suspect left his vehicle and approached her vehicle, pounded her window and roof and threatened to punch her in the face and harm her.  The man’s license place was recorded and police will file a complaints for threats and malicious damage.
