Police Log: Crews Respond to Suspicious Package, Erratic Driver Reported

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, Dec. 30

At 12:35 am., Dedham police responded to Providence Highway, where they received a report of a black Dodge Ram 2500 pickup parked in a lot with a single occupant. Upon arrival, police determined that the occupant was there simply to rest. 

At 12:10 a.m., police arrested a 19-year-old Boston woman for trespassing and resisting arrest while at Legacy Place.

At 2:02 a.m., police arrested a Dedham man, aged 22, for failing to stop/yield and driving with a suspended license on Oakdale Avenue.

At 10:17 p.m., police responded to Providence Highway on a report of an erratic driver who had reportedly been driving on the wrong side of the road in a dark-colored sedan. The driver was gone on arrival, according to police reports. 

At 5:21 p.m., police and the Dedham Fire Department responded to Station Circle on a report of a suspicious package in an elevator. Upon arrival, crews found an empty box.

Saturday, Dec. 28

At 11:25 p.m., police received an anonymous report of loud music and a possible fight in the area of Allen Lane. Upon arrival, police approached two females who had been verbal arguing.
