Police Log: BJs Shopper Has Carriage Stolen, Women Spotted Snorting Substance

The following excerpts are from the Dedham Police log from Oct. 14 to Oct. 20. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

The following are incidents that the Dedham Police Department responded to recently based upon police reports provided to Dedham Patch:

On Oct. 15,  police arrested John Sisay, 20, of Boston on a warrant charge of malicious and destructive damage.  Sisay was arrested in the 200 block of Providence Highway.   Sisay was arrested after the Sears Department Store in Dedham reported that the suspect stole two tablets on Oct. 2 and was found back in the store. 

On Oct. 16,  East Dedham Pizza reported a phone scam.  The business said they were called by a man who stated he was from Nstar billingand that their electric bill was past due.  When the pizza shop called N-Star, to inquire about the bill, they informed East Dedham Pizza that they were up to date and it may have been a phone scam.

On Oct. 16, a Dedham resident reported a UPS package was stolen from the front steps.  UPS reported the $400 package was left at the home without a signature. 

On Oct 16, a Lancaster Road resident reported his $300 black bicycle with a black seat was stolen right outside of his driveway.

On Oct. 18, a Lower East Street resident notice two females , between the ages of 4—50 years old, sitting in the front seat of a vehicle and snorting an unknown substance through a straw off of a CD case.

On Oct. 20, a customer at the BJs in Dedham reported she stopped to sign a petition when her carriage was stolen.    Among the stolen items was a wireless router valued at $87.99, which was in the carriage.
