Police Log: Bicyclist Hit, Miata Hardtop Stolen

An excerpt from the Dedham Police Department's May 10-12 police log.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

May 10

  • At 11:08 a.m., a resident reported that one of his friends stole $320 from him. Police have a suspect, according to reports.
  • At 4:02 p.m., a Kiely Street resident reported a blue 12-speed bicycle taken from his property.
  • At 5:37 p.m., a two-car accident on Walnut Street sent one person to Glover Hospital.
  • At 9:02 p.m., police responded to Hooper Road for a report of an overdose. The person was transported to the hospital for treatment.

May 11

  • At 11:49 a.m., a person with their car parked on Washington Street reported that the hardtop to their Mazda Miata was stolen.

May 12

  • At 8:09 a.m., a driver of a parked car on Washington Street was issued a ticket for blocking a school bus stop.
  • At 1:06 p.m., police arrested 32-year-old Gina Reyes, of Hyde Park, on four warrants. She had warrants out for her arrest for breaking and entering, and possession and distribution of drugs. Police had pulled her over for driving with a revoked license and speeding on Sprague Street.
  • At 9:14 p.m., a person on a bicycle was hit while they attempted to cross Whiting Avenue where it intersects with East Street. The driver of a gray Toyota drove away from the scene before police arrived.
