Police Log: Accident on Sprague Street, Theft at Victoria's Secret

The following is an excerpt from the Dedham Police Department log from Sept. 4-5. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account.

Monday, Sept. 5

  • At 8:18 a.m., a resident told police that a bike was stolen sometime over night from their Circuit Road home. The bike was described as a black Bianchi 24-speed bicycle. The resident said another bike, a purple, young girls bike, was left at his home.
  • At 2:42 p.m., responded to a report of two stolen bicycles from a resident's home.

  • At 1:18 a.m., officer James Lemanski arrested 42-year-old Peter Michaelidis, of Dedham, on a default warrant out of West Roxbury District Court for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
  • At 8:24 a.m., police responded to Sprague Street for a two-car accident with injuries. The driver of a 2001 Malibu said he was driving down a hill on Sprague Street near the Manor neighborhood, when a 2005 GM Savana crossed over the double-yellow line and hit him. The driver of the second car said she was reaching for a pack of cigarettes and took her eyes of the road, according to police. The driver of the second car was cited for a marked lanes violations. She was transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police arrested 20-year-old Brittany Walker, of Roxbury, for allegedly shoplifting from at Legacy Place. Officer Brian Crump reported that he recognized Walker and confirmed that she had been trespassed from . Walker allegedly stole two shirts valued at nearly $40. She was charged with trespassing and shoplifting.
