Police Log: A Boat Entered, a Gun Found and a Warrant Arrest

Hyde Park Woman Arrested (2:42 a.m.) - A 21-year-old female from Hyde Park was arrested on Washington Street for evading taxi fare and disorderly conduct, according to reports.

Roslindale Woman Arrested (5:32 p.m.) - Dedham Police arrested a 31-year-old Roslindale Woman on Providence Highway for larceny over $250, according to reports.

Dedham Man Charged with OUI (3:14 a.m.) - Police received report around 2:40 a.m. that someone had broken into a boat at a residence on Ash Street. Upon responding to the area, police received a report that the suspect who allegedly broke into the boat had fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV. Police were able to stop the vehicle at the intersection of Cedar Street and Walnut Street, where they approached the driver and discovered the scent of liquor coming from inside the vehicle. After conversing with the man, police arrested the individual, a 41-year-old man from Dedham, and charged him with breaking and entering, malicious damage to a motor vehicle and driving under the influence of liquor (fifth offense).
Lynn Man Arrested (2:11 a.m.) - Dedham Police arrested an 18-year-old Lynn man on three separate arrest warrants issued out of Lynn District Court. The man was arrested after his vehicle was stopped on Whiting Avenue, where the vehicle he was driving pulled into a nearby residence. Police had responded to the area after receiving reports of several vehicles parked in a nearby parking lot and appearing to prepare for a race, according to reports.

Gun Found on Porch (8:50 a.m.) - Dedham Police responded to Washington Street, where officers received a report of a gun found on a porch of a residence on the road. Upon arrival, officers found a black rifle leaning against the railing of a second-story deck, a common deck used by both apartments of the residence. After inspecting the gun, police determined the rifle to be a pellet gun.
Thursday, June 28
Vehicle Entered (6:45 a.m.) - A local resident reported to police that during the overnight hours someone had entered vehicles around his residence. Upon arrival, the individual claimed that he found credit cards in the street, and pointed to a vehicle across the road that had the driver's side door open ajar. The owner of that vehicle confirmed with police that someone had rummaged through the vehicle. No other vehicles in the area were entered overnight, according to reports.
