Police Log: $3,700 Fraud at Citizens Bank, Naked Man Sleeping in Car

The following information was supplied by the Dedham Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Dedham Police Department log from Aug. 5-8. Please note that this is a sampling of activity, not a complete account.

August 5

  • At 4 a.m., security at an Elm Street hotel found a man sleeping naked in his car. Police arrived, woke up the man, who said he was a guest of the hotel. He returned to his room, police said.
  • At 5:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a hit-and-run with a pedestrian on River Street.
  • At 6 p.m., police responded to Veterans Road for a report of an assault. The suspect was a female minor, according to police logs.
  • At 7:10 p.m., a caller reported someone stole his bicycle from in front of on Washington Street. It was later located near at the Dedham Mall.
  • At 9:16 p.m., a caller on Hamilton Avenue reported that the tires on his mother's car were slashed.

August 6

  • At 2:44 a.m., police arrested Adam White, 22 of Dedham, for allegedly carrying a dangerous weapon and on three outstanding warrants.
  • At 7:54 a.m., a Greenlodge Street resident called police when they found a man asleep in their backyard.
  • At 10:14 a.m., a caller reported that their car was egged while parked on Colburn Street.
  • At 2:20 p.m., a white bike was stolen from a Stafford Street home.
  • At 9:26 p.m., police ordered youths riding bikes on Grant Avenue to stop throwing eggs at cars.

August 7

  • Verizon workers picketing outside of a Verizon Wireless store on Providence Highway were asked to move following two separate calls to police that they were blocking pedestrian traffic into the store.

August 8

  • At 9:24 a.m., on Bryant Street reported a $3,700 fraudulent withdrawal.
