Police Identify Hyde Park Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

State police said Monday that Scott A. Driscoll died Sunday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the 45-year-old Hyde Park man killed in a on the Hyde Park-Dedham border Sunday afternoon.

Scott A. Driscoll was riding his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Turtle Pond Parkway in Boston, heading toward Enneking Parkway, when he crossed the double-yellow line and passed a car in front of him, according to a police press release.

Driscoll then pulled back in front of the car he passed, hit a curb and lost control of his bike, police said. Driscoll, still out-of-control, went through a stop sign, and hit the driver's side door of a Ford F150 pick-up truck, the investigation found.

Driscoll, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He was transported to Faulkner Hospital in Boston, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Neither the driver of the Ford, Leghistla Williams-Bly, 30, of Hyde Park, nor her passenger, a 34-year-old Rhode Island man, were injured in the crash, police stated.

Police said they don't expect to file any charges, but the crash remains under investigation.
