Police: Dedham Man Hits Parked Car, Charged With OUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Dedham Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dedham Police arrested 21-year-old Sean P. O'Brien, of Dedham, early Wednesday morning for alleged drunken driving.

Dedham officer Robert Chermesino stated he heard a car crash near the intersection of Upland Avenue and Sprague Street. When he arrived, the owner of a damaged pick-up truck parked on the side of the road said another car had just hit his truck and took off.

O'Brien was pulled over near the scene of the accident, and Chermesino stated O'Brien had "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath."

Officers administered a field sobriety test, which O'Brien failed, according to police.

His blood-alcohol content was not released by authorities. O'Brien was charged with operating under the influence.

Thursday, Sept. 1

  • At 5:45 p.m., Dedham Police arrested 49-year-old John R. Bell, of Dedham, for driving to endanger, speeding, driving without a license and improper operation.
  • At 7:07 p.m., police dispersed eight teens who were standing outside a Bussey Street liquor store allegedly asking people to buy them liquor.

Wednesday, Aug. 31

  • At 9:50 a.m., police arrested Susan Clinton, 19 of Dedham, and charged her withd omestic assault and battery.

Tuesday, Aug. 30

  • At 1:04 p.m., police arrested 42-year-old Anthony Day, of Dedham, and charged him with trespassing.
