Police Conducting Alcohol Stings in Town

Officials will be conducting compliance checks.

The following was submitted by the Dedham Police Department.

The Dedham Police Department would like to announce that they will be conducting compliance check of liquor establishments Within the Town of Dedham.

We will be checking to see that all the rules and regulations set forth by the Town of Dedham Board of Selectman, the licensing authority within the Town of Dedham, are strictly adhered too. This may include sting operations targeting service to underage patrons.

We will also be looking for establishments serving intoxicated patrons. Several area businesses have invited the police to participate in “Cops in Shops”. During “Cops in Shops” the police look for underage patrons using fake ID and adults purchasing alcohol for minors.

Our goal is to be sure that that liquor license holders, within the town, follow the rules that have been established to keep our community safe.
