Detours Still in Place After Stony Brook Brush Fire

Boston Firefighters have been released from the four alarm Stony Brook Reservation brush fire that broke out this morning.

As of 10 a.m. most of the hot spots of the fire had been extinguished and no smoke was showing in the sky.

The DCR Forest Fire Crews are still currently at the scene., Boston Fire officials said on Twitter

Areas of Enneking Parkway remained closed by State Police officials as of 10:30 a.m..  No vehicles were allowed to drive on the parkway which runs through Stony Brook Reservation.

Firefighters first responded to the scene at 6:20 a.m. Monday morning, and as of 8:30 a.m.  the incident commander has ordered a fourth alarm for more firefighters, according to the BPD Twitter Page.

Firefighters applied a foam on the area of the fire, to keep the ground cool, according to Twitter photos.

The BFD said firefighters have been in the area off and on all weekend and this is the third day in a row that brush fires have been in this area.
