Fall River Man Arrested on West Roxbury-Dedham Line for Drug Possession

State Police discovered nearly three dozen bags of drugs in a vehicle they stopped in the area on Tuesday.

Massachusetts State Police this week arrested a Fall River man for drug possession after pulling his vehicle over in West Roxbury, according to MyFoxBoston.com.

A state trooper on patrol Tuesday discovered that a 1999 Volkswagen Passat in the West Roxbury area near the Dedham line was registered to a person with a warrant issued, according to the report. 

After stopping the vehicle of Robert Thompson, 28, of Fall River, police discovered 27 individually wrapped baggies of marijuana and five larger sealed plastic bags containing heroin, according to the report.

Thompson, who had a warrant issued for him out of Brockton District Court for motor vehicle offenses and carrying a dangerous weapon, was brought to the Framingham state barracks, where he was booked on heroin and marijuana-related charges, according to the report.
