Electric Malfunction Causes Fire at Dedham Mall
The Dedham T.J. Maxx and DSW were evacuated after the stores filled with smoke.
The T.J. Maxx and Designer Shoe Warehouse at the Dedham Mall were evacuated Tuesday morning after a fire broke out on the roof.
The fire was caused by an electrical malfunction and broke out at 9:40 a.m. above the DSW, according to Boston.com.
The blaze caused smoke to fill the T.J. Maxx and DSW. There was minor smoke and water damage inside DSW

Dedham Fire Deputy Stephen Lynch said the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes and no one was injured.
