Dedham Police Urging Residents to Stay Alert During Manhunt in Watertown

Dedham Police released a statement asking residents to pay attention to the directions that are being given by authorities in Boston and Watertown during the manhunt.

 

Dedham Police Chief Michael J. D'Entremont just issued the following statement concerning the manhunt for the Boston Marathon suspect in Watertown:

Residents should monitor and pay close attention to the directions that are being given during press conferences by the authorities in Boston and Watertown. There are no specific security precaution advisements for the Dedham area at this time. As always, citizens should be alert and report any suspicious activity. People should not venture into Boston, Watertown of any other of the other areas impacted at this time. The MBTA is shut down. There is no need for anybody to be around MBTA property. If any specific information should become available, we will communicate as soon as possible.

Dedham is not included to be one of the towns on lock down at this moment, but Chief D'Entremont still wants residents to be on high alert.

"And of course if anyone sees anything suspicious, they are urged to call us right away," Chief D'Entremont said.
