Dedham Police Logs: Credit Card Fraud, Shoplifting and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 18

(6:55 p.m.) According to police reports, police responded to Hooper Rd. on a report of a vehicle that was broken into.  The owner of the vehicle informed police that the vehicle was left unlocked overnight and several items were missing from the car.

(7:52 p.m.) Dedham Police responded to Legacy Place for a report of a shoplifter.  According to reports, the shoplifters left the store and were walking towards Legal C bar.  However, Legacy Security lost track of the them.  The suspects took $30 worth of merchandise, according to police reports.

(8:03 p.m.) According to reports, police responded to a store that had multiple attempts of credit card fraud.  According to the manager, the same suspect would try to use stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards.  Police retrieved surveillance footage of the individual and is currently investigating the matter.

Saturday, Dec. 22

(3:44 p.m.) According to police reports, a woman exited a store in Legacy Place with over $600 in merchandise, without paying for them, placed them into a car that immediately drove off. However, the woman was detained by police and placed under arrest.
