The following article is based on information provided by the Dedham Police Department, and where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are some of the incidents the Dedham Police responded to recently. Remember all charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction, and articles are based on Dedham Police reports.

On Sept. 17, a High Street resident reported to police that she left her 2013 Ford Focus parked overnight at 8:45 p.m. in front of her house and came back at 7:30 a.m., and found that her wallet had been taken. She told police she had left her wallet in the vehicle, which contained her license, debit cards, and more, and that she thinks the vehicle was unlocked.

On Sept. 18, a Dedham resident came into the police station to report he had been receiving harassing voicemail calls starting in April. The male caller would claim to be from a law firm stating that a person, not the Dedham resident, is being urgently looked for and to contact the law firm. The person will also say he has an individual's social security number, and the phone calls come from different states. The Dedham resident has informed the person he's not the person, and for the law firm to stop calling. A Dedham officer called the phone number and was at first directed to an inaudible voice mailbox. An officer was able to reach a heavy-accented man who said he was an attorney, but would not say where he was located, except for Texas. The officer asked the man for his mailing address and the man said he did not want to give out that information. According to a police report, the officer could hear noises in the background and heavy static during the phone call. Eventually the man hung up the call after refusing to provided any contact info.

On Sept. 20, around 7:26 a.m., Joseph A. Messina, 66, of 37 Needham St., Dedham, was arrested on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury by Dedham Police on a warrant for accosting/annoying a person and assault, according to a Dedham Police report.

On Sept. 22, around 5:16 p.m., Katherine Quinn, 21, of 25 Charles St., Wrentham, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, according to a Dedham Police report.

On Sept. 22, around 10:44 p.m., Devaughn W. Robinson, 18, of 15 Marion St., Roslindale, was arrested and charged at 389 High St., with attempting to commit a crime.
