Dedham Police Log: Vehicle Break-in, Money Scam and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 19

(5:42 a.m.) A Dedham resident walked into the Dedham Police Station to report a possible money scam. She stated that she was contacted by a company that was able to restructure her mortgage.  She was then told by the person to deposit money into one of their accounts.  After that, the resident was unable to contact the company and has not received any information about her loan.  A report was filed by Dedham Police.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

(12:22 a.m.) On Tueday, Feb. 19 at 6:59 a.m. Dedham Police arrived at Presidents Way for a report of a vehicle entered. The driver said window of a grey Ford Sedan was smashed in and a GPS was stolen.

Thursday, Feb. 21

(8:15 p.m.) Dedham Police responded to Eastern Avenue for a damage vehicle. According to police reports, the vehicle was keyed along the drivers side. 

Friday, Feb. 22

(9:42 a.m.) According to police reports, a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot on Providence Highway was keyed.
