Dedham Police Log: Shoplifting, Identity Theft and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, July 29
(10:28 p.m.)  Victoria Secret in Legacy Place reported to Dedham Police that two women walked into the store and stole $520 in merchandise.  A report was filed.

Tuesday, July 30
(11:05 a.m.) A man walked into the police station to report that he experienced identity theft.  According to reports, a credit card was opened in his name and there was an attempt to transfer $22,000 from the card.  Bank of America flagged the transaction and then canceled the transaction.  A report was filed.

Wednesday, July 31
(11:52 a.m.)  H&M reported to Dedham Police that there was a group of people who were trying to use stolen credit cards.  The suspects fled the scene when they weren't able to use the cards and a report was filed.

(1:26 p.m.)  Johnston & Murphy reported to Dedham Police that three jackets were stolen.  A report was filed.

Thursday, Aug. 1
(1:39 p.m.)  H&M in Legacy Place reported to police that there was a shoplifter in custody.  According to reports, the suspect concealed several items in a bag while walking throughout the store.  The woman was arrested and then issued a no trespass notice.
