Dedham Police Log: Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle, Break-ins and More

The following information was provided by the Dedham Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

 

Monday, June 3

(3:08 p.m.) According to police reports, a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at the Dedham Mall. The victim told police that she was leaving DSW and started to cross the street and then was struck by the vehicle.  The driver told Dedham Police that she was making a turn into a row of parking spots when she bumped the pedestrian.  The pedestrian was evaluated by Fallon EMS and she declined transportation to a hospital.

Tuesday, June 4

(11:15 a.m.)  A man walked into the police station to report fraudulant charges on his credit card.  A report was filed.

(11:39 p.m.)  Dedham Police reported to Lamoine Street for a possible house break-in.  The home owner told police that when she came back home she notice the air conditioner in the living room partially pushed in.  There were no missing items and a report was filed.

Friday, June 7

(4:15 p.m.) According to reports, a vehicle was broken into on Providence Highway. The vehicle was a Mercedes convertible and was broken into by cutting the convertible top of the car.  The only item that was taken was a Garmin GPS.

(10:12 p.m.)  Dedham Police responded to Whole Foods Market because there was a shoplifter in custody.  According to reports, the shoplifter filled a shopping cart with $473.19 worth of items and walked out the front door.  He was later stopped by Loss Prevention on the front sidewalk.  Dedham Police placed the shoplifter in handcuffs and transported him back to the station.
