Dedham Police Log: Malicious Damage to a Vehicle and Shoplifting

Friday- May 10, 2013

Stolen Vehicle- 1:15 p.m.

Leonard Street- Report of a white GMC Denali stolen.

Shoplifting- 2:09 p.m.

Providence Highway- Report of a shoplifter from a business on Route 1.

Motor Vehicle Accident- 3:51 p.m.

Providence Highway- Report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. A vehicle swerved to the left to avoid hitting another vehicle. Vehicle 2 struck vehicle 1 which was parked. Vehicle 1 then struck Vehicle 3.

Suspicious Person- 4:20 p.m.

Eastbrook Road- Report of a suspicious person. Caller said he saw a male behind the property of a business squatting down in a ditch by the river. The man told police he was just having a beer. The man was advised to leave the property.

 

Saturday- May 11, 2013

Motor Vehicle Accident- 3:37 p.m.

Washington Street- Report of a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck another vehicle as it was traveling straight ahead. Vehicle sustained moderate damage due to a trailer hitch.

 

Sunday- May 12, 2013

Well Being Check- 6:29 a.m.

Bridge Street- Officer responded to a report of a female under a tree putting colored string on the tree. Upon arrival the officer saw a woman standing under a tree wrapping colored sting in an artful fashion around the tree. The female said she was placing yard on the tree as artwork for Mother's Day. She stated that she did not have permission to do this and she did not own the tree. She was advised to removed the yard from the tree.

Malicious Damage to a Vehicle- 9:36 a.m.

Parker Staples Road- A 2005 Buick Rendezvous had a smashed front passenger side window. The window appeared to have been smashed by a ceramic cup of some kind.
